UV/Image Editor

The UV/Image Editor is one of the most commonly used view types for making sculpties in Blender.

In this view you can preview sculptmaps, assign/de-assign UV images, create new texture images, save textures to the hard-drive, and other image-related functions.

Common Layout for These Tutorials

For most of these tutorials, you may notice I have my view area split in half.

The left half I keep as a 3D View window. The Right I change to the UV/Image Editor.

Although the split isn't necessary for most of the tutorials, I find that this setup is the most useful for making sculpties. I highly recommend making this part of your default setup.
